About Us

Welcome to Alberta St.George of England Society! Since 1982, the Society has had a presence in Edmonton. Our first semi-permanent home was in a large basement suite in a commercial building on the south side of the city. It was there that we began building many of our club items, including stage equipment for performing our annual English Pantomime (a tradition that continues to this day), and for celebrating England's patron saint on St. Georges Day.

Our longest home was in the Prince of Wales Armouries, in the heart of the City. It was here that we built a very comfortable clubhouse, complete with a bar lounge, office, dressing rooms, prop storage facilities and a fully equipped theatre.

On vacating the Prince of Wales Armouries, at the end of September 2007, the Society moved to Woodcroft Community Centre near Telus World of Science.

On Dec 1st, 2012 the club moved to our current location, the Edmonton Scottish Society.  We welcome current, new members, guests and anyone wanting to come out and see what we're all about to join us at our (almost) monthly events.
